Nomination – Design Prize of the Federal Republic of Germany 2011
System 800, which has already received two awards, and the HEWI Website, also a double award winner, have now been nominated for the Design Prize of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Companies cannot apply to compete for the prize; instead they are nominated by the Ministers and Senators of Economics of the federal states or by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. In addition, a company can only take part in the competition if its product has already received a national or an international prize. No other design prize sets such high requirements for its competitors. The Design Prize of the Federal Republic of Germany is therefore called the "Prize of Prizes".
