eLOCK identifiers – free selection
Depending on the project or property, different requirements exist regarding operation of a locking system. If handling is to be self-explanatory, for example, due to frequently changing users, it is advisable to use eLOCK keys. If, on the other hand, your preference is for non-contact identification, key fobs and cards are available, which can also optionally be used, e.g. as a company ID card or pass.
How it works
eLOCK identifiers are basically passive, i.e. they do not need batteries. They contain an RFID transponder for identification at the eLOCK fitting; apart from the unique serial number, the transponder is used to store specific property data, authorisations and time zones.
eLOCK cards or key fobs can be used for identification at all eLOCK fittings except lock cylinders. For identification, they are simply held in front of the respective antenna of the fitting.
eLOCK keys can be used for identification at all eLOCK fittings. Like mechanical keys, they are inserted in the keyway of a lock cylinder, which can then be actuated by turning the key. Keys can also be used in the same way as cards or key fobs for non-contact identification at the other eLOCK fittings.
