eLOCK framed door system – the solution for profiled doors
Roughly every second security-relevant door in the building is a framed door, and the trend is increasing. These are mostly entrance doors to the building or floors, which not only have to be closed but locked too, i.e. they require to be locked again each time after use – which is fully unrealistic in practice. In most cases, these doors are used as an escape route in the opposite direction, so that pressing the lever handle from the inside must also open the doors when they are locked, and they are almost always fire doors. The eLOCK framed door system solves all these requirements at a high security level, and surprisingly provides convenient use from the outside too.
How it works
The framed door system consists of a lock, an antenna and a control unit with integrated battery for power supply. The antenna is mounted on the outside; the control is mounted on the inside of the door, directly on the profiled frame. In this way, manipulations of the electronics can be effectively prevented
The lock automatically locks when the door is closed, but it can still be opened from the inside and outside by simply pressing the lever handle: When the handle is pressed, the lock bolt is pulled back. This is always possible from the inside (escape route function), from the outside it is not possible until an authorised identifier is held in front of the antenna, until then the external lever handle has no function.
The eLOCK framed door system can be used both for doors in evacuation and escape routes and for fire doors.
