1999

1999 Repositioning of the HEWI brand. Advancing from the production of individual components, the company now turns to the development of complete series. In addition, a new corporate design is launched. HEWI presents the new colour system: 19 colours, subdivided into basic, neutral and pastel colour climates, provide increased freedom of design.

The travelling expedition, "Peach Blossom and Cyber Blue - Goethe - Colour - Space", is originated and implemented
with the support of HEWI in Weimar.
HEWI launches its new 477 sanitary-ware series. Interior designers and architects now have a complete series of interior fittings for the property development sector.
In order to be able to best meet the specific planning and implementation requirements in the given field, HEWI has decided to set up a new subsidiary company - ENTRO, Systeme für den Bau GmbH. ENTRO will, in future, be responsible for the company’s product programme, primarily encompassing handrails, impact protection systems and banisters. Not only does this move enhance the spectrum of products HEWI offers to include stair systems, but it also means that products made of stainless steel and glass are now available.

2001

2001 HEWI takes a new direction with the development of new hardware ranges.

HEWI offers a comprehensive and well thought-out stainless steel product range. This range is available in three high quality surfaces, textured, matt and polished.
Der Türdrücker der Serie 180C, bestehend aus einer Aluminium-Edelstahl-verbindung, wird mit dem internationalen Designpreis „red dot award“ ausgezeichnet.

2002

Thematic grouping of the products for barrier-free living into the 801 series. This series includes functional and aesthetic products, designed to give increased independence to the target groups.
HEWI introduces new themed areas with its extended product ranges of electronic locking and guidance systems. The Floatline guidance system attracts the "Red Dot Award" international design prize.

2003

LifeSystem, HEWI’s new Barrierfree Products range, offers significantly enhanced functionality and supports the given user’s movement processes with even greater perfection.
