System colour
The colour system is a versatile handrail system: full-colour, abrasion-proof polyamide tubes (d=40 mm or 33 mm) are permanently connected with corrosion-proof steel cores. Various handrail and infill options can be combined with one another.

Materials:
Top-rails and uprights: StE 690 steel, polyamide, wood.
Infill elements: stainless steel, HPL, powder-coated perforated sheet steel (RAL colours), acrylic glass (PMMA), laminated safety glass (VSG), single-pane safety glass (ESG) and other materials.
Handrails: high-gloss polyamide finishes (available in the 16 HEWI colours) and wood.
Usage:
The system is suitable for both straight and dogleg staircases and can be used as a guard for landings. It is ideal for heavily frequented public areas.
Mechanical strength and resistance:
Abrasion-proof, scratch-proof, impact-resistant, vibration-proof and fracture-proof.
Resistant to corrosion, frost and atmospheric conditions.
Light and colour fast.
Fire resistance (DIN 4102):
Non-flammable (building materials class A2).
Hardly flammable (building materials class B1).
Tests and standards:
HEWI products comply with the ETB directives for components intended to eliminate the risk of persons falling (MPA test certificate). Quality certified to DIN ISO 9001 / EN 29001.

HEWI technicians design their banister and handrail systems to order. All elements are cut to fit perfectly and prepared for easy installation.
